The End of Summer

I can't believe another summer is gone. So last weekend we said goodbye to the summer when Austen was 4 1/2 and Peyton 1 1/2 and we did it in style. We took the long weekend and some added days to return to Harbor Country in southwest Michigan to enjoy frolicking in Lake Michigan, eating ice cream and building sand castles. Here's a snapshot of our final summer vacation from 2011:

Yum, I can eat ice cream cones pretty well now and I better have one if Austen is having one!

Happy and eating S'Mores. Peyton enjoyed her first S'More experience even though she wasn't allowed to roast a marshmallow.

On an almost fall-like day, Austen enjoyed flying a kite. His first time doing so. He enjoyed it!

Michigan is always a good time. Hopefully one day we'll have a house of our own up there. That's the plan anyway!
