Easter Egg Hunt Back On!

We flew home from our spring break trip just in time for Easter Sunday. More on that amazing trip later but let's talk Easter. Luckily, I had been shopping prior to spring break so I could whip up some baskets and Tom could put out the eggs for a quick egg hunt at our own house before going over to Grandma's for her infamous egg hunt. I wanted to skip our own egg hunt this year since it was such a busy morning coming back from our trip but I knew deep down that I still needed to keep the magic alive for Hailey. 

The other two were good sports and played along, finding their eggs and then their Easter baskets. They got some candy, games and books. Nothing over the top since we just spent a bunch of money on them for spring break.

At Grandma's we had brunch and then it was every kid for themselves! Leo won the hunt this year with Austen coming in second place. Tom and I won the adult portion and Grandma doled out her gift cards to the winners. 

Prizes or not, it was just nice to get together somewhat safely this year since the majority of us adults were fully vaccinated (one was half vaccinated). The day was beautiful and we spent a lot of time outside. The kids missed Mia, Ryan and Luke this year and we missed Mark and Nina but it was still a nice, relaxing day to catch up with my mom and John, dad, and Maria, Mike and Leo. It had been way too long since we were able to gather due to the pandemic so we're definitely looking forward to more hang outs after we all get through the spring sports season!
